The deadline to register for the Final Conference of the BITS project is 4 November. Register now!

The Bicycles and ITS (BITS) project is drawing to a close. After some spectacular innovations and implementations from the world’s first cycling and ITS project, we will welcome BITS project partners and stakeholders within the cycling and ITS communities to hear more about the successes and lessons learned from the project, as well as where the project would like to go from here (hint: we’ve got bigger and better things planned!).

The conference is taking place on the 16th of November. Participants are encourage to arrive on the 15th to attend the Bike Tour and Welcome Dinner.

The Conference Programme

The morning of the Conference will be dedicated to two plenary sessions where high level speakers will give their perspective of how ITS and cycling can have a powerful impact on cyclist safety, comfort and confidence. Speakers include representatives from the European Commission, the Dutch National Government, the Interreg North Sea Region, the City of Zwolle and the Province of Overijssel.

The afternoon sessions will allow participants to engage in breakout sessions: Track A will look at the implementations, guidelines and best practice for tendering of bicycle ITS projects, with Track B offering dedicated sessions to Cycling in Zwolle and the Province of Overijssel. A bike tour and networking dinner will be hosted prior to the Conference on the 15th of November.

Exhibition Area

An Exhibition Area will also be set up where companies can feature their ITS and cycling technologies. If you or your company would like to have a booth in the exhibition area, please get in contact with Sam Pierce from Cycling Industries Europe (s.pierce(at)cyclingindustries.com). Companies from the North Sea Region will also be eligible for a grant to support their expenses incurred to exhibit.
