Recruiting 101 with Daniel Glaubitz

On April 14th, CIE’s Cycling Innovation Network kicked off the first in their monthly workshop series with Building a Winning Team & Best Practices Models, hosted by session leader Daniel Glaubitz, Managing Director at biciTalent.

In this interactive session, Daniel detailed the dos and don’ts of the recruitment process, from creating the perfect job ad to onboarding new hires. While applicable to companies of all sizes, Daniel also addressed the specific needs for SMEs and startups.

Creating Sustainability in Your Business with Pete Lillie & Geraint Florida-James

In the second edition of the CIN Workshop Series, session leader Geraint Florida-James, Lead Academic at Mountain Bike Centre of Scotland (MTBCOS), moderated the webinar, Bridging Academia and Industry, and illustrated the benefits of establishing academic partnerships within the cycling sector.

Cohost Peter Lillie, Co-Founder of Presca Limited, shared his company’s sustainability journey through the collaboration with various university research departments. Participants heard Presca Sportswear’s mission to take those materials polluting our planet and redesign them into performance sportswear that was built to last.

Guest speakers, Prof Christof Backhaus and Prof Miles Weaver, from Edinburgh Napier University joined in the second half – exploring consumer attitudes towards brands’ environmentally oriented activities, and supporting the industry to build for purpose, sustainability and amplifying Sustainable Development Goals Impact through purposeful stakeholder relationships, respectively.
