We are delighted to welcome CIE’s 100th member on board! Join us in welcoming the latest 3 companies that became members of Cycling Industries Europe: Amazon Logistics, UpandBike, and Nowos. Crossing the 100-member milestone, not only reflects the rapid growth of the whole sector but also how building a strong coalition at the European level is more important than ever before. As stated by many EU officials at the CIE 2022 Summit, cycling is at the core of the mobility and green transition: thanks to our members, we are proud of our catalyst role to shape Europe’s green future!

Now, without further ado, let’s introduce the new members. Get inspired and find out reasons why you should join CIE too! More details about joining can be found here.

Amazon Logistics

Amazon Logistics is guided by four principles: customer obsession, passion for invention, commitment to operational excellence, and long-term thinking. We are using our size and scale to become net-zero carbon by 2040, 10 years ahead of the Paris Agreement. To achieve this, Amazon is transforming its transportation network around the world by inventing new electrification solutions and using alternative delivery methods like cargo bikes and walkers. Amazon currently operates thousands of electric vehicles, cargo bikes and alternative delivery methods worldwide and has invested in electric vehicle charging stations for its partners to use, with plans to expand this infrastructure. In 2021, Amazon delivered more than 100 million packages by alternative delivery methods across Europe.

Upandbike

Upandbike is a net of safe available bike parking scattered over the city by means of elevated automatic stations. The stations are elevated, safe, automatic, and smart. The surface below the bike parking is free and can be reused for kiosks, bus stops, metro entrance… The main purpose is to provide door-2-door availability to micro-mobility while solving the lack of safe parking and freeing up the streets of the chaos that bad parked bikes suppose nowadays.

Nowos

NOWOS specializes in repairing lithium-ion batteries and electronics. In addition, we focus on the safety, transport and storage of lithium ion batteries in accordance with the new PGS37 legislation that is on the way.
Our starting point is to increase the lifespan of a battery by repairing batteries with original parts so that the UN38.3 and the CE mark are guaranteed.

By repairing and reusing parts, we make it possible to develop a circular economy for lithium-ion batteries.
We actively support major players offering after-sales service for various E-bike, E-mopeds and worldwide battery manufacturers in Europe.

NOWOS was able to repair 74% of all batteries intended for recycling last year with a minimum capacity of 80% of a new battery.
